Description: AVIRT – Active Violence Immediate Response Training - teaches you to recognize the signs of danger, react appropriately, and make rapid survival decisions. AVERT goes beyond standard active shooter response training by also teaching how to control life-threatening bleeding such as knife and gunshot wounds that may result from an active threat. After an AVIRT training session, you and your team will be able to: recognize warning signs using situational awareness, decide whether to escape, evade and/or attack, apply critical bleeding control techniques such as wound packing and tourniquet application, respond quickly and confidently in an emergency, develop an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), and much more!

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC)

Description: The origins of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) can be traced back to the military's Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines, which were created to improve the survivability of combatants on the battlefield. TECC was developed as a response to the increasing frequency and severity of high-threat incidents in civilian settings. 

TECC topics focus on managing severe trauma in high-risk, civilian situations (like active shooters, terrorism) by covering Hemorrhage Control, the MARCH Assessment, Airway control, treating wounded responders, pediatric care, and victim extraction, structured across Direct Threat, Indirect Threat, and Evacuation Phases.

Intro To Outdoor First Aid
